Going to go back a bit to my childhood and see if anyone is old enough to remember any of these places that are all gone now except for one and it's had a couple of owners.
El Rancho Les' Steakhouse St Joe Marina Restaurant Southgate Inn(originally in the Southside and then moved to the belt and name changed to the aforementioned 36th Street) Hawkins Cafe(had a cook named Joe who made the best pancakes I've ever had) |

Betty's Cafe - biscuits and gravy
It's funny that some of our trademark restaurants used to be brothels (hoof&horn & bucket shop). Too bad brothels became outlawed, or this town maybe could have flourished at the turn of the last century and beyond. My friend's opend up the Bucket Shop as MacKelly's for a brief stint, our fantasy league is still named MacKelly's FFL, as we held our first draft there :cheers: |
