I thought he had the tools to be a top 10 QB, arm strength notwithstanding. He's got the athleticism, toughness, good arm talent, etc. I'd still rate him higher than Smith overall. Always thought BOB was his biggest problem. |

I think Big Brain is his biggest problem too. Watson would shine in Belicheck’s offense and with the Pats D. He’s gotta stop taking so many hits, though. His elusiveness and ability to run is a big part of his game. But he took the nasty hits we all thought Jackson would take this year because Watson holds onto the ball so long behind a questionable line. |

It will be interesting to see what he does without Nuk but he's better than I imagined he would be. Still...48mph. Oof. |

Watson would be a lot more successful at NE, NO, LAR, maybe just anywhere just not with BOB. And his biggest issue is holding on to the ball too long. Well, that and not being able to read defenses worth a damn. In NE/NO/wherever's system, he'd be getting rid of the ball quicker, he'd be much further along in terms of reading defenses, and so forth. |

Well the reading defenses thing is exactly the reason Reid took Mahomes so that tracks

I think Watson would be better in a system where he got rid of the ball, and more short and intermediate passes. He doesn't really have the arm to sit back and heave it; and he's gonna get killed that way. |

That QB was also one season removed from winning MVP and appearing in the SB , which would make 0 sense to draft another QB that high.

I like Trent Green as a person and he certainly had his moments in some regular season games but it’s difficult for me to consider a guy with an 0-2 playoff record, an even TD to pick playoff percentage and who never threw for over 212 yards in a postseason game as someone who has a clutch gene. |

I think if I was asked to pick a Chiefs QB since 2000 (pre-Mahomes) for a fourth quarter drive, down 4, with 2 minutes left, I’d have picked Green. |

They said he'd be a slightly better version of Alex Smith. Which is EXACTLY what he's been. He's fine. He's a good, solid quarterback. He's nothing resembling elite and he's soon to be paid as though he is. And when that happens, the Texans will be done contending for the duration of his contract. |

We'll see. 50% of all of Watson's completions have been to DeAndre Hopkins since 2017. That is a crazy statistic. He throws to Hopkins like we always wanted Smith to throw to Hill. With some of the best weapons in the league, Watson still didn't throw for 4K and put up simply "good" statistics this year. It's hard to understate just how reliant Watson was on Hopkins and how huge of a weapon he's now lost. We'll see how that impacts him moving forward.
