Let's talk about the 49ers (Super Bowl Edition)

Well Chiefs vs Packers is what I had hoped for, but that's not happening.

Let's talk about Chiefs vs 49ers here.

This is going to be the most disappointing thing for the 49ers in this game in a long list of disappointments. There is this idea that it’s a given you will get to Mahomes but he was sacked the fourth lowest on percentage of passing attempts this season at just 4.15%.

Conversely, the Chiefs are very similar to the 49ers with our quality of pass rush. The 49ers offensive line gave up sacks on 7.17% of passing attempts. That’s especially not good for them when a lot of our pressure comes right up the middle against a fumble prone QB.

Garrapolo was sacked 39 times and fumbled the ball ten times. Mahomes was sacked just 19 times with five fumbles. Everything points to the pass rush being a much larger problem for the 49ers offense than it will be for the Chiefs offense.

You are going to see a lot of Mahomes maneuvering in and out of the pocket and making huge plays that leave defenders with the defeated looks in their body language.

This game will be over before halftime. Niners can't hang with the Chiefs in the second quarter!

Not really sure why people are making a huge deal of the Shanahan video anyways. It’s called working the officials, everyone does it.

He just happened to be on video and on the mic.

Yeah, need to be more concerned about them wearing Vaseliine on their uniforms.

I'm sure you did invent the word.

That's why it's so stunning that you can't see that you're using ALEXCUSES.

Here’s my somewhat bold take:

Mahomes would have a more difficult time in the SF offense against the Chiefs defense than he will against the SF defense in the Chiefs offense.

The internet seems to be about 97% 49ers fans that think the Chiefs have no chance.

I personally think there's gonna be a whole lot of comments online that after the game people will say "this comment aged like milk"

Really? I haven't noticed it, but of course my fb and Twitter feeds are full of Chiefs fans, and then I'm here. Even on the Steve Hoffman music forum there seems to be a lot Chiefs support.

Where is all this pro-49er stuff at online?

Omg, yes please let your coach be as asinine as you. Don’t give Kelce any extra coverage. Know how I know you don’t know about Kelce?? He was double covered for most of the Texans game and still went ham on em. He caught a ducking touchdown pass with FIVE DEFENDERS AROUND HIM. Keep doubting Kelce, lmao.

Twitter, YouTube comments, of course Niner forums, etc. They’re pretty confident.

I obviously have a ton of 49ers fans that are friends because I spent a ton of time in that area. Just found out that my neighbor is a 49ers fan. He congratulated me on making it to the SB and then told me that we were in trouble because the 49ers were going to win.

I asked him how he’s stopping Mahomes. He asked me how we were going to stop their running game. I laughed and went back inside.
