Game of Thrones Seasons 7-8

About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.

I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

For future us, 2015 thread is here: Link

Sucks for Sam, but I don't completely disagree with Dany's actions. It's war. She can't take a bunch of prisoners, she needs them to bend the knee. When that story gets around, people she defeats will not be taking the position that the Tarly's took. Sometimes putting the fear into them sends a message that ends up resulting in fewer people dying in the end.

It's like bombing japan in WWII. Sucks to kill all those people, but the net result was their surrender saved millions of lives.

I presumed Ice.

I don't think he can work with Valyrian steel though.

But Jaime and Brienne have the two swords that Tywin had made from Ice. If he has any knowledge of how to work it, he could melt the two swords back down and recreate Ice. I'm not sure why; who wields it at that point? But it's there as a possibility.

I'm sorry. They were prisoners. No weapons, no nothing. All she had to do was have a Dothraki knock his behind out and roasted Randall by himself.

The long-awaited return of Game of Thrones proved to be a milestone for HBO, which enjoyed an all-time ratings record. Entertainment Weekly reports the Season 8 premiere drew in more than 17 million viewers across live broadcast and streaming platforms.

This was not only the highest turnout for any HBO show in history, it also scooped the biggest ratings of the year out from under CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, whose recent episodes raked in over 14 million viewers in early February.

Yeah, no joke. I signed up about an hour before the episode aired, and I will cancel about an hour after the final one does.
