*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Yeah. I don't care what people say. Mike Mayock is ****ing annoying. It always sounds like he's trying to speak while gargling a gallon of bird shit. I greatly prefer ESPN's draft coverage over NFL Network.

Kind of glad he's off the TV. I'm not all that scared of him as a GM, either, particularly if he's nothing more than Gruden's lapdog.

The Bengals select John Ross. And just like that, the Chiefs are on the clock! And.... they go to commercial.

ESPN announced the trade up with 6 minutes left on the clock. We got the "The pick is in" message with 2:10 left. Mahomes was the target all along. Were the Chiefs war room guys just giving each other handies for 4 minutes before they sent in the pick?

I mean, I wouldn't blame them.

Also, it's so much fun watching these clueless franchises think they're being smart by passing on the biggest dicked QB in the history of the league.

The Niners, Jaguars, Jets, Chargers... all of them.

Like... yeah, thank you for being ****ing idiots. I'm grateful, certainly. But... like, these teams don't really deserve to be alive.

You know a guy who deserves a ton of love but has NEVER received any?

Cigar Man in the first 5 seconds of this video. Why is he not an icon on this forum and in Chiefs kingdom? He should be right up there with the Eric Fisher true fan guys.

God bless you, Cigar Man.

Surely no one would call Reid and Mahomes stupid for worrying about footwork.

Yes, Mahomes had footwork issues. The people that talked about it were largely wrong. Why? Because it didn't matter to his success.

An Air Raid QB with wandering mechanics and sloppy footwork still threw 50 TDs in his first year starting. They didn't see the big picture.

And yes, of course it matters. Just not to the extent it was talked about pre-draft. Mahomes will continue to get better..he did make some throws unnecessarily difficult.

The throw at 1:40 in that video. Just hilariously awesome.
