I don’t think this will happen, but with the talk of Nebraska wanting to still play and the B1G saying they wouldn’t be in the B1G anymore if they do... what happens if say Ohio State and Michigan follow suit. Sure they can kick out Nebraska, but what happens with the media deals if some of their premier teams want to go rouge?
And again I don’t think it will happen, just asking the question. Does the B1G call the police and shut games down? |

there won’t be any games in the spring and then a following season a few months later? get a grip. they are saying “possibility to play in the spring” just so it doesn’t sound as bad as all sports cancelled for upcoming year.

I'll be very, very surprised if any university plays any sports in the Spring of 2021, without a tried and true COVID-19 vaccine.
Even then, the colleges and universities should just prepare for their 2021 seasons as usual. |

If they play in the spring, I would imagine it would be 4 or less games. Better than nothing, but that’s the only way to play in the spring and then assume a normal fall.

Pretty hilarious Nebraska thought they would move to the Big 10 and become Ohio State. Turns out their program is worse than Iowa's. Don't get to play the sisters of the poor anymore. |

If that's the case Nebraska better jump ship to the Big 12 ASAP. The financial impact will be devastating to the city of Lincoln, The University AND the athletic department.

The Rose Bowl was already scheduled to be a CFP semifinal game this year so they would have no problem filling a non-Big 10/Pac 12 match-up.
So basically the Big 10/Pac 12 would theoretically return in the spring without most of their top players (i.e. any player with NFL aspirations), and with no CFP opportunity including the Rose Bowl to play for. It would be a glorified version of normal spring exhibition games. Good luck with that. |

U Texas has been a pain.
But with NE, MO, and CO bailing out or threatening to bail, what choice did the Big 8 have? They were staring at becoming a mid major. The chatter at the time was Texas might join the PAC and there would be four power conferences each with 16 teams. The Big 8 (Big 5 plus 3 random wanna be schools?) would have been left outside looking in. So Texas and the PAC 12 couldn't agree on TV revenue but that wasn't clear at the time. |
