Agreed. So do you roll with Mahomes as the #2 or do you go out and sign a vet?

Paxton Lynch was the backup for Denver last season. He played in 3 games, starting 2 and had a 1-1 record as a starter, and they won the other game as well.

Are those 3 appearances the reason he sux now? It wouldn't appear to be by the numbers he put up.

Probably a coaching change problem would be more my guess.

Why **** with his confidence? He earned the #2 spot and Coach seems ever bit confident in Patrick or he wouldn't have promoted him.

He's an idiot.

IMO, they let allow Bray to ride it out all of preseason in hopes of seeing improvement and if he doesn't, cut him at the end of TC and sign Matt Flynn to be the #3 guy.

He's a WCO QB and reportedly a good locker room guy. Then they'll need to draft a potential backup in 2018.

@ChiefsReporter

.@tkelce returned to the field Sunday morning and said he feels 100%. Looked like the guy who earned first-team All-Pro honors last year.

He had his best season ever with Smitty throwing to him. Smitty is perfect for him because all Smitty does is throw to RBs and TEs

Not exactly my point, but he handled the backup spot.

Mahomes will be fine if needed.

It's going be a perfect marriage for Patrick and Kelce hooking up for touchdowns in the redzone as soon as Patrick becomes the starter.
