Olympic speed is world class speed. Would he be out there competing with Usain Bolts records? No. But given that his football speed was competing with the main pack, there's no reason to believe that if he lost some of the bulk and focused purely on straight line speed for a little over a year he couldn't be competing for a podium.

And let's be clear here. He absolutely did not qualify for the 2012 Olympics. His time might have qualified for him to compete at the Olympic Trials, in which he did not compete. https://www.runnerspace.com/news.php?news_id=26435 The formatting is trash, so if you want to verify, you'll have to do so at your leisure, but here are the dudes that ran the finals in the 100M: Justin Gatlin Tyson Gay Ryan Bailey Michael Rodgers Darvis Patton Trell Kimmons Jeff Demps Walter Dix So you are unequivocally incorrect. He most certainly did not qualify for the Olympics. He might have had the opportunity to compete for the qualification. But he did not qualify. I mean, he could certainly quit football and go back to T&F, but I think you're underestimating the difference in training he'd have to undergo, and it doesn't really happen in a year. And he'd be 29 starting it. That's unlikely. |

That’s like saying Mahomes is just as special as Tim Tebow Alex Smith, they have all played QB for a NFL team so they are all world class QBs. To me that is dumb as **** to shit on the most elite, so that you can win a discussion on the internet that you resort to name calling because your too fragile to have an actual discussion. |

You think you arent dumb and you bring up me comparing a dude who would have qualified for the Olympics in 2012 if he ran in the event to comparing Mahomes with Tim Tebow and Alex Smith. Ya... your and idiot. The Olympics has already weeded out the Alex Smiths and Tim Tebows. The Olympics is Mahomes going up against Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Allen, Jackson, etc... Mahomes is Usain Bolt. Everyone is world class. Last edited by jd1020; 10-19-2021 at 09:17 AM.. |

There is no point in talking to someone who can’t even formulate a solid foundation for what they are trying to discuss. So congratulations you win a pointless discussion on the internet because you can’t articulate it well enough, that you default to name calling. You are so smart and more of a man than I could ever wish to be |

Sorry Tyreek, you just arent good enough to compete in the Olympics. A farmer and a idiot that want to play technicalities don't think you are fast enough. Give it up, Tyreek! |

Since you added an edit, The NFL draft already weeded out the ones who couldn’t make it to the pros. Training camp, preseason weed out the rest, that leaves you with Alexx Smith, Tim Tebow, Ryan Leaf being world class along with Brady Rogers, Mahomes, Manning Not the best analysis you could have had, should have used the playoffs, would had made me work harder to support my side |

There were 33 people competing for the Men's 100 M in 2012 from the link I posted. Tyreek would have qualified then, and been 1 in 33. Mahomes is 1 of 32. Sam Darnold is to Patrick Mahomes as Tyreek Hill is to Usain Bolt. |

Are you stupid? He would have qualified and been competing at the Olympics. Not the ****ing qualifiers. Sam Darnold isn't invited.

All I'm doing is pushing back on the idea that he'd stroll onto the Olympic stage and whip ass. And then point out the instances in which you are incorrect, because you obviously don't even have a passive understanding of Olympic Track and Field. I love Hill. A lot. He's the fastest dude I've ever seen play football. Ever. But he isn't an Olympic Sprinter. He maybe could have been a qualifier once, but he's a long way away from the Olympic podium. And with that, I have no interest in continuing this conversation. |
