Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I was thinking that being a pitcher, and having to grip the baseball in so many different ways to throw certain pitches, and how hard you really have to squeeze the ball when throwing with velocity, especially a 97 mph fastball, may have strengthened his hands.

His hands are not big for his height. But it's possible that his hands are just strong, making his grip on the football tight in any weather.

It must have the same affect on him as what sunlight does to Superman, or spinach to Popeye. Pray for snow in the playoffs!

An interesting point that got me curious about how mahomes grips the ball. Turns out his grip is really unique. Notice how he has an almost diagonal grip and that he almost holds it on top with his fingers together. Most qbs like Andrew luck hold the fat part of the football with their fingers spread. I have no idea if this has anything to do with being able to throw well in slop even with smaller hands. But it was different enough to point out.

I have nothing to note on his grip, but I was at that Pro Bowl game. It was wet and 'cold', but Pat threw the ball normally. He was driving passes through the elements.. all of the other QBs looked like noodle armed scrubs in comparison. Dak, Luck, Trubs, and Watson. They all looked like shit. Even my girlfriend was roasting them all for being trash in comparison to Mahomes and half the time she doesn't even know what the ****'s going on.

I don't think it's anything with his grip, but with his velocity he can drive it better obviously.

But snow doesn't actually make it slick. It takes quite a bit of moisture to get the ball slippery, snow is just enough that it actually can make it a little sticky feeling. I know I know dumbass but when I was in HS I played QB and I always liked the ball just a little damp. It makes it feel tacky.
