I should clarify that I'm not saying that the movie itself looks like it will be bad, just that we appear to be getting sucked into a glut of genre movies that, in the long run, will gloss over the merits of one film or another in the incredulity over the sheer volume of similar films being churned out.

I finally wrapped up the Indiana Jones series with The Last Crusade. It's a shame they never made any more of them!
I probably liked Raiders better but this one was pretty good too. |

So I got an hour into Full Metal Jacket and had to turn it off. Is there any story or narrative I'm supposed to be following? Character I'm supposed to care about?

Right about the time you shut it off, it pivoted pretty dramatically. It's probably worth finishing.

And Fate of the Furious was the worst entertaining movie I've ever seen. At first I thought they had toned down the bullshit from furious 7...I was so wrong. I don't even think transformers is this insulting to it's audience.
