How do you know that the Chiefs officially offered him a deal?

The only reason there was rumored interest is because the Chiefs missed out on Hudson and other Cs.

The early reports were that they had little to no interest in re-signing him and in the end they still didn’t go with him.

But they clearly wanted him back bad, right?
