Tyreek is a one of one. You should be embarrassed to mention him and Hollywood in the same vein - their height is the only thing they have in common.

Rice is 4 ****ing inches taller than Hollywood, FFS.

Hardman is gonna struggle in the fact that, his fault or the Jets, his first stint away from the Chiefs went poorly.

Chiefs need to bring him back as WR4 and not go over $5-7m per year.

Only 25 years old, no one wanted him last year and he's worth more to us than the other 31 teams.

They could easily get him back cheaply if they wanted to.
Hey, I've been in favor of offering Hardman something like 3/$18 million. I've weirdly become something resembling the high man on Hardman. I'd love to have him back.

But that doesn't seem to stand with your "also prepare for life after Kelce" approach. Because he doesn't do anything along those lines, does he?

I just think we need to be wary of A) Presuming that life after Kelce will be some black hole at TE (it won't be - Andy's history with TEs all but assures it) and B) Trying to act like we have any idea what that offense looks like or will need.

We found life without Tyreek a hell of a lot more manageable than anyone expected. Because our QB is awesome so one-kneed JJSS was fine with some tweaks to the offense.

I just don't know that you can 'plan' for any of that. Deal with the now.

Oh my God. I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse or you're genuinely just dumb as ****, but literally no one is arguing for the merits of Hardman. It's actually about as backhanded as you can be with it, but I'll go through it nice and slow for you.

Hardman is capable

Of being a sub 700 yard player

As the 3rd option

In the Kansas City Chiefs offense

Even though

The league at large

Views him as a bum

Not worth much more than vet minimum

So therefore

It's a wiser use of money

To bring him back cheap

Instead of paying millions more

For what would be similar production.

Stop. Responding. To. Him.

He won't even let people AGREE with him. Even when he has something resembling a valid point, he does a miserable job of making it.

The sooner he gets bored and leaves, the better we'll all be for it.

Despite the receiver woes we were 2nd in the AFC last year in passing yards, 6th in the league. In the Mahomes era our pass yds/game league rank are 3,4,1,2,1,6. We've been spoiled.

Hardman handles the now. A draft pick or two gives us options for the future.

We've seen first hand that Andy either doesn't trust and/or give opportunities to rookie WR's early on - so I'm certainly not counting on getting anything much out of a rookie - I think Rice just gave them no choice and took it.

Guess I'm wondering why it has to be Hardman OR a rookie, instead of Hardman AND a rookie?

If this guy is there for us at 32, despite the size concerns he has to be an option. The 2021 game vs Oklahoma, he goes for 75 yards on the first play on a wide receiver screen. Then he burns them twice deep, as the game goes on the Oklahoma DBs are backing off ten yards and taking running starts and he still torches them.

The thing that he has besides speed is he can track that deep ball. Doesn't mean we can't get another receiver, but he opens up the playbook considerably above what we had last year.
An option? I'd say he'd be THE option...

And seriously, who the **** is going to want to give Hardman even a 1 year prove it deal after he ran his stupid mouth about the Jets? He may well have called his job opportunity down to either us or no one.
