****2017 NFL Draft Thread**** (NO Spoilers)

Let's ****ing do this.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Don't be a dick.

Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.

I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future.

Jake Butts could have and we passed on him

Dorsey always trying to prove that he's smarter than everyone else in the room instead of just making the obvious pick.
It should be obvious by now, five years in, that Dorsey does not go for "name" players. He has a metric that he goes by and CPers getting butthurt every ****ing round because he didn't take "your guy" is getting old.

I've learned that Dorsey is going to do whatever he wants and generally not what I want. Pointless to scream for guys now.

He's not really an 'old school' tight end at all. He was an adequate blocker, but a receiver first. Very involved in the passing game. Solid routes, good hands. He's just a shade too slow to be, say, Jimmy Graham, which is I think the only saving grace for the rest of the AFCW. He should be good. Potentially really good.

Exactly. Sit back and enjoy the ride. You'll see how this turns out in a year or two.

Harris, Demetrius - shit, cut

So where exactly is all the amazing TE talent on our roster?

Kelce and a bunch of meh

People acting like Escobar is something special
When you are so clueless that you list a player who has been traded.

But I agree that Escobar isn't any good. Hopeful for Travis

You're right

Tbh there no point in even watching the draft past the 1st round.

Dorsey drafts like a scout, not a GM.

He doesn't give a shit about rankings or projections. He has yet to realize that it's often better to take a less-talented guy who is ready to perform yr 1 than it is constantly going for an elite guy who won't get there until year 4.
