If you want to prep us all season long for how peacock fits into the overall mix of nfl games fine. If you want to experiment as Amazon did by showing a few games followed by a regular TNF schedule... Fine. But don't at the 25th hour swoop in and make an otherwise free mass market game with huge implications pay per view. If it's anything like peacocks previous releases where streaming was glitchy and bars were complaining,I have a really bad feeling we will end up with another klunky, not so well thought out rollout. |

It's not about the 6 bucks, it's about easy access to the games. There are millions of fans who wont be able to watch or decide it's not worth the hassle to watch. Elderly who aren't tech savvy, rural fans who don't have good enough internet to stream, OTA and basic cable subscribers who have never had to stream anything and may not have a smart TV or device capable of streaming. Peacock and the NFL will make plenty of extra money on this game, but there will be way less eyeballs on the game and that's not a good thing for the NFL going forward.

It looks like I'm screwed by my attempt to use my "free peacock premium" account through xfinity. I don't get peacock and I can't cancel the account. Xfinitty/Comcast continues to live up to their reputation as the world's worst company.

And I'm not one for slippery slope arguments due to one inconvenience, but if one day it's going to require Prime and Peacock to watch the playoffs, and NFLN... then FFS just start charging people to watch your shit instead of subscription services that you have to sign up for and then cancel, or at the very least put it all on ESPN+ and leave people the **** alone who just want to pay for Peacock without sports ruining the price just like cable (because you know the price will go up for this). And stay off my lawn. |

Also, the last few years though, they started to show more Chiefs games locally in California where i live, because the Raiders have left, so they dont get local coverage anymore. Chiefs have taken their spot for the most part. lol |

Not that I'm doubting any due diligence was done and hoping the platform can handle it, but the 7 million viewers for that game was half of what Prime sees and a quarter of what the playoffs grab. It'll probably be a backup for me if other streaming options suck or aren't available. |
