Unreal how powerful Alabama is with Saban. What is it about Saban that makes him so unreal? He has to be in the running as being the best college coach of any sport, ever. Being able to attract the best players is part of it, so it is hard to imagine there ever being a better college coach. John Wooden doesn't count, as Saban has had success everywhere in college. Coach K of Duke....cannot compare to Saban.
Bottom line is whatever Saban does, works better than any college coach ever, in any sport. He could go to any other program in the country, and it is almost certain that he would materially improve the program immediately. That is power. He should go one more place before he retires, just to show off, and then his record is just about untouchable. Either go to some place like the University of Texas, or maybe even Pitt. If he were to restore those teams to glory, it would cement him even further as the greatest ever. |
