Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

@evansilva: #49ers went 11-4-1 last year & made SB47. They now have 5 draft selections in the top 93. #Chiefs, 2-14, will pick just twice in the top 95.

Better trade that pick now

I can't wait until draft day when every team in the league knows they've painted themselves in a corner.

They're stuck with the #1 pick, nobody wants it.

They just need to get Joeckel a contract now and cement themselves as idiots.

@JasonLaCanfora: On Alex Smith trade, hearing its worth a maximum of 2 second round picks, depending on his performance. KC's 2nd round in 2013 for certain
