I can't believe they would end the show without having another scene between Jimmy and Kim. The show is as much about their relationship as what happens to Saul at this point.
Also I think Jimmy will have a moment where he finally admits the truth about himself, like Walt's "I did it for me" scene, or like Kim in the last episode. And if so, that scene has to be with Kim. |

Rhea seehorn and bob odenkirk have hinted that the ending is going to pack a huge punch. And that actions have consequences. I think there is still something big coming and Kim is really the only character left to do it with. Everyone already knows Saul will break bad and then gets punished into paranoid obscurity. There’s gotta be something bigger than that. Becoming estranged with Kim seems way too soft for gilligan. She is largely responsible for Howard’s death and gilligan doesn’t usually let characters off the hook that easily.

Could just be in the moment but I really do think BCS is better than BB. The characters are way better.
Jimmy is way better than Walt. Honestly Walt just got annoying with his pride and ego causing tantrums. Jimmy was erratic, fun and charismatic. He was a great character. Lalo obviously. He’s as good of a character as any in the BB universe. Hector was a significantly better character too. Sure BB had Hank, but BCS had Nacho who I would argue is as good of a character. Aside from that you get the same mix of key characters in both shows: Gus, Mike, Don Eladio, Bolsa, Cousins. Even Tuco is in there. Writing was great for both but the characters in BCS reign supreme for me |

I tend to favor BCS because I’m a big fan of Odenkirk and Saul’s schemes, but I’d say that BB was probably more consistently high-quality. Both are among the best series I’ve seen though. |

I can't wait to rewatch BB after this series is done. Loved this show and thought it wasn't necessary when announced. Glad to be wrong.

That episode is exactly why BCS is better than BB. A slow burn “filler” episode is still fun as all hell bc Jimmy/Saul is a way better character than Walt.
The Jimmy scams are always fun to see and a big part of that is the writing. I’m sad that we only get three more weeks of this. |

It was cool to see Jerry/Garry/Larry/Terry. Saul pretending to give a shit about the Cornhuskers was great.

Plus the scheme/set up was overly elaborate and risky. And a bit much to accept that the entire thing hinged on the security guy eating with his back to the security monitors. On a (I assume) meaningless side note--there is no Cottonwood Mall in Omaha. But there is a big Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque. Odd choice by the writers there. |

I didn't much care for it. One thing that's bugging me in Jeffs' first appearance, when he recognized Jimmy as Saul Goodman, he came across as somewhat street smart. Not a 40 yr old, living with mommy, gullible, bumbling dumbass he did in this episode.

I think this episode would have worked better if it was at the beginning of the season. It doesn't really give anything away, and the scene of Saul saying he's all alone and nobody would care if he died would have felt more interesting if we hadn't seen the breakup with Kim yet. How it is, it's still a good scene, but it's not telling us anything that's not obvious.

Apparently, they had to alter the shooting schedule when Odenkirk had a heart attack and the original actor was no longer available when needed. But yeah, the persona was very different as well. |

The original actor was in We Own The City - the David Simon show on HBO - and that was his conflict: https://ew.com/tv/better-call-saul-jeff-role-recast/ The episode was good but I was having trouble understanding this character as he didn't look very familiar and was kinda a pathetic version of the original. |
