He probably earned some trust with his playoff reps as S #4.

It's a numbers game. Your top 3 guys play defense every week -- we know that's Reid, Cook, and Conner. Now Uncle Dave gets his one guy as #4. Deon is it.

Well, Toney is going to be doing the Toney role unless we come up with more cap space. Cutting him carries $2.5 or $3M in dead money.

Browns just trying to keep their defense together, old guys and all. Can't blame them I guess. They retained Shelby Harris.

Must like him on specials. Am I wrong that he played a lot more special teams than Edwards?

They also lost Stone yesterday. Two of their better defenders are now gone to play for fellow AFCN rivals.

He played on all special teams. It's the reason this deal is done already, Toub loves him.

Doesn't hurt that he proved ready in the playoffs when his # was called.

Samuel plus a vet LT (Smith, Leno, etc) would equal a terrific free agency for the Chiefs

In the Nagy Bears offense there is the Power Slot and the Gadget Slot.

Rice can be the Bully/Power slot and Samuel is the Gadget Slot and can play the vertical #2.

At this point idk that he’s gonna be on the roster after the shit he pulled. That cap charge is chump change.

He’s always hurt and has been a big headache. Wash your hands and move on IMO
