Pretty sure his lawyers are not already plea bargaining yet… which is basically what you are describing above… considering it’s like three days after the incident took place and he hasn’t been officially charged with anything.

And that would ultimately take place between his lawyer and the prosecutors, not the police.

Even watching one episode of Law & Order can provide you with that basic level of legal process knowledge.

GTFO with your fancy logic. CPers are impervious to that attack vector.

1) He spoke to police with his lawyer present after a couple days to be clear what to say and what not to say.

2) Traffic cameras are pretty good, but I don’t think they would definitively identify Rice even if he was driving (which he obviously was). But you know what will be definitive in terms of proving who drove the car?

The steering wheel prints.

You don't think his fingerprints would be on the steering wheel on a car he was renting?

If they even dusted for prints. Any lawyer worth a shit would destroy the prosecution if that is the best they had.

I think you overestimate how hard cops try at their job.

Keep in mind he was wearing a oversized bright red doorag over his head which is gonna stand out like a sore thumb.

Steering wheel prints only will tell you whether Rice drove the car at some point after he rented it. They won’t tell you what time he drove the car. Any good defense lawyer will point that out.

Did the airbags deploy? Is so, would there be a way to procure his DNA from the airbag? Just throwing it out there.

His DNA is going to be all over both vehicles and it could take months to get the results back from the state lab

They may have to turn to forensic genealogy to put him in the drivers seat of the Lambo

What do you think bag man was carrying in that purse? It's the Chiefs offensive playbook. He was hired specifically to guard that thing and not let it fall into the hands of the enemy.
