He called them out on it, nailed it to a T, and they still denied it, implying that he was drunk. Only when the consequences of their own actions arrived, did they decide to do the right thing and try to make him leave. Soulless. |

This reminded me of BB when I was somewhat accepting of our “protagonist” until the kid gets shot in the desert.
It was shocking, and you are hit with a sledgehammer reminding you that our main characters are not good people and there are major consequences for their actions they can’t control. |

They attacked his reputation because his reputation was the obstacle between a good settlement for a case Jimmy found, and a potential but completely unrealized future resolution that Hamlin was marketing on the foundation of his reputation and the deep pockets/patience afforded by his firm who snaked the case from Jimmy. We can quibble about how much of his reputation Hamlin 'deserved.' But they weren't ****ing the class, or the clients, or even the firm or the case, . . . they were ****ing the vision of how the case should proceed that Hamlin imposed with his reputational gravity by, albeit underhandedly, shifting the perspectives of key people to see the chessboard a little more like they did. Cliff's input is critical here. . . It's entirely possible that Hamlin presented a sufficiently compelling explanation that Cliff had lingering tendency to believe that everything he was spinning was true, but he kept his eye on what was best for the clients. Jimmy had negotiated a fair settlement offer, and Hamlin had convinced the clients that, with lots of waiting and institutional pressure, he could bleed the company for more. . . That's a pissing contest between rival advocates. Whatever Jimmy and Kim's shenanigans, they had shifted the landscape for the suit, and it was prudent to accept the fair settlement Jimmy had gotten on the table. Kim reminds me so much of Walt. Both very upstanding and smart people in the beginning but slowly they both fall into this shit and their integrity snaps u til you don’t feel sorry for them anymore. I’m there with her.
It’s funny. Tonight’s parallel reminded me of Hank’s death. “You’re the smartest guy I’ve ever met” and tonight’s “And you. One of the smartest and most promising human beings I’ve ever known.” |

A lot of amazing things had to fall in place just like in Breaking Bad, but it's not so bad it ruins the show.
Great entertainment. |

Kim will buy a vacuum or buy the farm. It'll be interesting to find out which.

Why would Lalo go to Saul?
I haven't rewatched the series, so I might be missing something obvious. |

Likely formulating a new plan to extract what info and actions he can from/through Saul and Kim to figure out the chinks in Gus' armor. |

I found it. This explains the connection:
Nacho hooked Lalo up with Saul. Nacho tried to have Lalo killed, so he's tracking things back. |

If Lalo dies, Saul doesn't know. He's still scared shitless of him in Breaking Bad.

Howard's brains on the painting that hid the Kim/Jimmy plan, . . which was taken later from Saul's mansion in the presumed government confiscation when Saul gets Gus-ed.
