Nothing tops the 2008 Big 12 tournament game. That was one of the best CBB games I’ve ever seen.

It bears noting that Svi isn't the defensive liability he was last year. I don't know if he's actually defending better or if guys are too stupid to iso him anymore (if that's the case, Weber should definitely be fired).

I could be wrong, but it also seems like Self has been willing to go to zone much more than he has been in the past... that could definitely be helping.

My personal favorite was the Big 12 Tournament Championship game in 2011. Texas beat us at home that year and snapped our home win streak the morning after T Rob’s Mom had passed. That win in the championship game felt so sweet. Redemption. |

Svi looks more athletic IMHO, and I had the theory early in the season that going to the NBA combine opened his eyes that he needed to work on that aspect of his game (agility training, etc). I assume scouts told him his best chance is to at least try to make it as a 3&D guy.

So not much of an effort today from anybody not named Devonte Graham, which was pretty expected. Makes it less likely that they'll get a #1 seed, but I think everyone would be shocked if this team made a deep run in the tournament anyway regardless of what seed they are.
Going to be playing the winner of OSU/OU on Thursday. I'm thinking it will be OSU. |

We seem to play like shit more often than not at GIA regardless of how good Okie Lite is. They played with lots more energy and efficiency. Makes for an easy win for them.

If I never saw Simon's crew ref a game for any NCAA game again it would be too soon. His crew is just terrible at refing the game of basketball.
