Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Tyreek fits your description. Insane physical talent with major baggage off the field.

Nope, all lies.

They just want to give Veach the credit because he’s the GM now!

Other teams now trying to copy the "Kansas City model" when it comes to managing their QB situation.

https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...228-story.html

Quote:
Giants co-owner Steve Tisch told the Daily News Thursday at the NFL Combine that “the Kansas City model,” as described by GM Dave Gettleman, indeed reflects the organization’s succession plan for Eli Manning.

“I would say the Kansas City model is an appropriate reference,” Tisch told the News at the Indiana Convention Center.

The Kansas City model refers to the Chiefs trading up to draft Patrick Mahomes at No. 10 overall in 2017, sitting him his first season, and then trading Smith and handing the keys to Mahomes in 2018. Mahomes then won the NFL’s MVP this past season.

That's nice and all, but there's only one Mahomes.

And it's not like we started anything new.

If they want new, interesting ways to handle their quarterback situation, use the Denver model.

I posted this about 2 weeks ago but we will see more teams do this. Giants are perfect. Have a veteran in Eli. Draft Haskins and have him sit for a year

Teams could learn a thing or two from the donks. Knowmo told us how great Fleecem' was at getting his guys motivated in training camp huddles... A fine trait indeed

Everyone used the KC model until about 2000 when teams decided that they were too impatient to groom a QB and they were all play-now talents.

Which they aren't.

And spending a year or two to groom a QB is still the best method...

Except Eli is such dogshit that they might be compelled to start Haskins (or whoever) early.

Even Alex Smith in his best season included fan demands for Mahomes to start. Imagine the season long drama in New York? With a horrible, completely done Eli? I can tell you right now that it won’t go smoothly for them.

Not only are they just NOT going to find another Mahomes, but Manning was done over a year ago. Trotting his corpse out there to lose games is not the same as Alex Smith having the best year of his career and taking the Chiefs to the playoffs/division title. The Giants are going to be a shit show this year.
