Holy crap Michigan!
"For at least until then, Michiganders won't be allowed to travel to in-state vacation residences. They are not permitted to use a motor boat. Business restrictions have been tightened, including that large stores must close areas "dedicated to carpeting, flooring, furniture, garden centers, plant nurseries, or paint," among other measures. Violators could be fined or charged with a misdemeanor, though the practicality of strict enforcement was unclear" You cant buy seeds to plant your own vegetables just in case this last a lot longer than expected. Cant paint or do general home repairs. |

Saint Joe was for 2 weeks, but it was essentially a shelter in place and started on March 20th. Regardless, 2 or 4 weeks, developing a vaccine in that time frame was never given as justification. It was all about not overwhelming medical facilities. It seems some are now trying to move the goal post on that.

People who think we shouldn't start loosening up also never state what they are are looking for. 0 deaths? 0 new cases? What is the the threshold to say "it's safe now"?
Life today us simply unsustainable. We cannot have millions of people out of work. We cannot have businesses shut down. We cannot have food and essentials being hoarded. And we certainly can't live a consistent 6ft apart and wearing masks everywhere. I mean the cruel reality is people die every day for various reasons including the flu, cancer stroke, etc. We simply can't wait for this to not exist anymore because that will never happen. |

Who wants some good news? This week we have taken 11 COVID patients off of ventilators and they are breathing on their own. We have also discharged 78 COVID inpatients who are recovering at home.

I would probably stay at home for some time rather than die at a young age.
The number of cases all around the world is about to hit two million and the death toll is more than a hundred thousand. Unless somebody finds a cure then I guess the humanity is atleast safe. |

What's the human cost for freedom is a better question. I think most would agree that human life is priceless. You can't put a value on it.
