I have a theory....a conspiracy theory actually....

The razor blade companies put much better blades in the package that comes with the razor....so you buy it, love it....best shave of your life....original blade lasts what seems like forever...

But then, you buy the 4-pack replacement cartridges.......and they last half the time as the cartridge that came with the razor!

Absolutely. I didn't clarify, and should have. Learn the lesson from your failures. But be honest enough and self critical enough and willing enough to learn them. Then move on. Forever. What's done is done, and you recognize what went wrong and the part you played in it.

It's nothing to dwell on, but forever there should life present you with a reminder course.

And, no, you're not far off.
Worry about you. We're the same age. If you don't do it now, you never will. I'll bet when you do that, you find what you want the most. I'll leave it at that.

Not really thinking about the past. Only in that is how I got to where I am. What could I have done to change things? Is it something I can change now? I have a nice apartment, I love my car, my cat purrs when I pet her, and I'm surviving on my own. With the pending possibility of being unemployed, I guess I've just begun the evaluating a little early. Or a little late. Maybe it's something I should have done a long time ago.

I'm in a comfort zone, though. I'm trying to break out, but I'm just so unsure of myself. Am I the type of person who has what it takes (whatever "it" is)? Only one way to find out, I guess.

I'm sure this will sound incredibly cliché, but we're all unsure of ourselves... it's just part of taking risks. Yeah, there's that extremely small percentage of people who are either very intelligent or very, very driven, but if you or I was one of them we'd probably be at work right now and not on CP.

Going to school, learning new skills, making yourself marketable, etc; is much much more about diving in (getting out of the comfort zone), dedicating yourself to it, and doing the hard work than IQ or being obsessively driven.

I received my first death threat on a poker site tonight. This guy got pissed off at me because I kicked his ass and he began calling me names. Then, low and behold, (after I knock his ass out of the game), he states that I'm going to die and he knows where I live. I, along w/ a few other players, reported it to the site.

The sad part about the whole thing... we were playing a fuggin' $1.20 NL tourney. Ppl really do take poker way too seriously. Amateur.

Not *my* random thought...

And Lot's wife, of course, was told not to look back where all those people and their homes had been. But she did look back, and I love her for that, because it was so human. So she was turned to a pillar of salt. So it goes.

In 10 months when she turns 18 I wont have to feel guilty for wanting to bang Victoria Justice. She is absolutely georgeous. I watch "Victorious" and dream we are on Fantasy Island together. She will be a huge superstar in 5 years and I will be able say, yeah, I whacked off to her way back when.

I Wanna Polka Polka
(Grenga, Stevens, Johnson)
The Ivan Offelcockich Orchestra

See that girl with the pretty red dress on,
I wanna polka.
I love the way she spins and twirls,
I wanna polka.

Oh how I wish that she'd look my way now,
Then I could polka.
I'd love to feel those pretty little curls,
How I wanna polka.

We took a little trip down to Love Canal (NY),
So I could polka.
but we stopped in French Lick, Indiana
No time to polka!

Intercourse Pennsylvania was my destination
wanted to polka.
But she left me down in Blue Ball PA,
Never got to polka.

bridge
well I went up to Maine to Bangor
then I went down to Florida to Tampa
but when all is said and done
I'd rather polka.

We spent sometime in Flushing NY,
I had to polka.
She said not until we get to Hygiene CO,
then maybe I could polka.

I said first let's stop at Moorehead Jersey,
before I polka.
Things got salty in Saline Michigan,
Never got to polka.

She said let's go to Bonesteel, (SD)
now there's a place I'll polka.
but it went Askew in Mississppi,
Didn't know if I could polka.

Climax MI was our destination,
She wanted me to polka.
but I had to make a stop in Crappo MD,
I lost the urge to polka.

bridge
well I went up to Maine to Bangor
then I went down to Florida to Tampa
but when all is said and done
I'd rather polka.

French Lick, Love Canal
Blue Ball, Moorehead

Depends on which direction.

Side to side: you funky for a white guy.

Back and forth: one who sucks the penis.

Nothing much on TV here in work, just spent 45 minutes being a dirty old man and watching college cheerleading championships on ESPN2 just so I could see the girls in their spandex outfits. I'm going to hell, I know it...
