*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Defense is about talent, then getting that talent to all play together.

I don't really think a D coord can make a defense that much better per say, but he can sure as **** make it worse.

I think good coaching can make a huge difference.

Simply replacing the defensive coordinator rarely does.

Defense is so much reactive to offense that I think it's easier for coaching to make a huge difference on offense relative to the talent at hand.

Defensively, you've just gotta have the horses and get them to all run together.

At this point, the D is in such disarray... It's hail Mary time. He should be on the phone asap with a fired coach to sit in the booth and second guess grandpa Bob. Hell, give Brady hoke a call. What could it hurt at this point.
I wanna see it in action first too and I’ve said it for a few days. But I like taking third party opinions into serious consideration, it takes out the biases and what not.

If KC doesn’t make the SB in this AFC field as the 1 seed WITH Watkins, with LDT, with Erving, Ware, etc... it will have all been because of Sutton and a lot of those defensive players who give piss effort.

Our defense does some very simple, basic technical things very badly. They don’t tackle, they don’t turn around to find the football in the air, and most of them play like pussies.

Idk what it will take to change it, but I’d love nothing more than to blow it up. New DC, some new position coaches (don’t expect all to go with Reid’s son on staff), and a bunch of new players. Keep all the 2018 draft class, keep Jones, keep Ford, keep Fuller, and keep Berry cause you don’t really have a choice. I don’t even care beyond that. The rest of them can earn their job in the next couple of weeks for all I care.

Passing yds and tds record look safe.

But if Mahomes gets 476(?) total yards he breaks brees’ single season about yards mark (rushing + passing). Needs 6 tds to tie total about tds.
