This is a novel virus no one knows how to fight this so they were originally trying things that China and Italy have long been doing. Lots of doctors are trying different things to combat this so I don't think they are incompetent. |

That seems more economic than pandemic. I'd never thought about this, but the synergy is that cuts for economic reasons might coincidentally help extend the pandemic measures if it cancels events and sports, and those are usually early on the chopping block. |

I posted about that a week or so ago that alot of doctors anecdotally were seeing lots of clotting with covid patients. There are also seeing it in the autopsy's. Some people suggest start patients on aspirin prior to hospitalization as a possible treatment. |

Deaths today already surpassed yesterday. But, I guess that's to be expected.

Is there data to suggest it reduces need for invasive ventilation? I would think it depends on the patients trajectory, as delaying intubation can be dangerous. If someone is on the floor, proning may just delay the inevitable, and have higher risk of profound hypoxia if their condition rapidly changes. |

According to the article I posted a page or 2 back, NY doctors are now proning covid patients and giving them oxygen instead of putting them on vents right from the start. It seems to be helping. |
