Come on guys...it's been proven time and time again that when you have the choice between a top RB and a top QB....you always go RB. THAT is how you win championships.

Kansas City takes over the division in every meaningful way this weekend, most importantly Lombardi's.

And we may never look back.
I enjoy how Mahomes has blown so far past Elway that they aren’t even compared anymore.

It’s actually laughable to compare them because Mahomes is so much better than Elway.

Do you really think there will be 72 points scored or are you including the points from the last time we played them in the Superbowl?

Shanahan does have a great system and I could envision a night in which the defense struggles like they did against the Packers, especially with the 9ers weapons. CMC, Deebo, Kittle and Aiyuk is an insane collection of talent at the skill positions, then you even throw in an annoyingly good FB to top it off.
They could but I have a really difficult time taking any season long statistic too seriously with this Chiefs team.

I got into a light argument with another Chiefs fan about this entering the Ravens game, as they were kinda suggesting based on the season so far, we didn't need to have any expectations for winning.

I just think everything before the playoffs is out the window. This is how it was with NE and now Kansas City. There's a track record of Spags' defense being better in these games, and they stepped up physically in 2019 as well when the matchup didn't look so good for us.

CP GDT when the 49ers are on their way to rushing for 150 yards that end with a touchdown and 4 field goals...

The only issue that I can see right now is not having Omenihu. But for all the talk about how the 49ers zone runs versus our defense....how come no one is talking about their defense versus our offense?

Benjamin Solak had a pretty good chunk of analysis on that in the most recent 'The Ringer' football podcast.

I guess he and another analyst played a game of back and forth, proposing issues the Chiefs offense will create for SF and then trying to come up with the counter or how SF would handle it.

And they just kept coming back to... pass rush with four, soft zone. No other answers, they're so static and it's too late to change their stripes in an impactful way.

Chiefs did just fine against the Dolphins zone runnning game in both games, which was just as good as SF's this season.

They'd better hope that Smith and Taylor somehow forget to block then. Good luck winning with that defense.

Seriously. Who got bit? And how?
And how did the zone run game of the Miami Dolphins - which is the exact same system - do against the Chiefs?

Other than some yardage Mostert picked up in the Germany matchup at the end of each halves, the Chiefs' defense controlled the Dolphins run game.

People just aren't talking about this enough. The Chiefs have played this system, with more dangerous/big-play WR talent, and handled it just fine.

Let's talk about the 49ers (Super Bowl Edition)

When was the last time an opposing offense used their strength on offense from the season and continued it with success against this defense?

I watched the Lions game again and it was crazy what Wilks was doing. I thought Mecca was just talking out of his ass but he was right about Wilks. The Lions ran 12 personnel with 2 TE's and Wilks just has their base out there with a corner going against the TE. No wonder they get destroyed.

Andy is gonna come out in 12-13 personnel and just destroy these guys. I think this will look a bit like the Bills game for awhile but in the end it won't be as close.
