@GoodmanESPN: Source confirmed that Missouri freshman Michael Porter Jr., has been cleared for full contact. Source also told ESPN: "Not sure if he will play this season."

He will play unless his mom puts her foot down, and he listens.

DeAndre Ayton should sit out the rest of the season. So should Tre Young. And anyone else who's projected in the lottery. Marvin Bagley has missed a few games for Duke - same thing for him. He should sit out and avoid risk of reinjury. He's been medically cleared for full contact. That means the injury is healed and there's no more risk of reinjury than there will be at any point in the future. And he does have some potential gains by coming back and playing. There are several freshmen who have moved their stock above his in the draft because of the great seasons they've had. Playing for a tournament team and taking them on a run, like a real life Jimmy Chitwood, would be incredible for his brand and potentially help his stock. It also would show NBA teams he's confident in his back and has no worries about it moving forward. And from a personal standpoint, he'd get to play with his brother again - perhaps the last time he'll get to suit up with him rather than against him. Lots of pros and cons both ways. |

If I'm a true big like Bamba. I wouldn't even play. NBA doesn't care much about a bigs production in the NCAA. They just care about your wingspan and athleticism. Just get your own trainer, hang out for a year, collect your shoe contract money and wait for the draft. But you routinely see shooters and guards improve their draft stock by production in the NCAA. Porter should play. He has more to gain than to lose at this point. If he was #1 or #2 in mocks, I get it. But he's anywhere from 6-9. |

Can’t injuries happen anytime/anyplace? I assume Trae Young could get hurt in his next game right? I think NBA guys would like to see him in action to see what they are drafting. |

Mizzou offers Ramey. That has to be a real good sign right?

He's been cleared by the surgeon who performed said surgery, which men's there's no more risk of reinjury. If there was a chance basketball activities would reinjure the back, he wouldn't have been cleared for full participation. |

The upside for Porter is if he plays 5-6 games and looks good, it will bump him up to the top 3 instead of 7-8ish. May not seems like a big deal but the $$$ difference is significant.
