Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

It is.

Folks in Cali have more to do than watch the foosball on teh TV.

It's not the end of the world if the 49'ers lose.

In KC you spend the offseason upgrading your travel-rig to allow for butane BBQ and a keg cooler in back.

I'm sure the 49'er fan is a more healthy and stable person than the average KC fan (probably not) but we are what we are.

I like to think it's the stubborn German genes mixed in there...

I have to say though. Even though apparently im P.E. number one, i respect the hell out of the passion you guys have.

Im not trying to kiss ass or make friends, i respect that you guys want to win. And want a winner. Something I hadnt seen from the spoiled brats of the 49ers fans. All their thing was no matter what, was to blame alex. Then the hand picked successor, is the first qb to ever lose a super bowl in 49er history, and yet, they still blame alex.

At least you guys just hate the guy, but with good reason. I respect that.

Look, if you want to talk football, that's fine. Just don't come in here trying to sell Smith. We've had enough Niner fans in here trying to do just that, and we're not buying it. So, move on to another subject and we'll get along fine.

We don't HATE Alex Smith.
We HATE the way our franchise goes about the QB position, YEAR AFTER YEAR, for the entire history. (Besides picking Blackledge over Marino/Kelley)

We COULD be hating almost ANY other retread QB that comes onto this team. We need to draft and develop a QB of our own like Super Bowl teams do, and we will stop bitching about it.

We don't hate Alex we hate that they gave up a high 2nd. Basically forcing him to be the starter.

If it was for a 4 th I don't think the outrage would be this bad

I live in wisconsin, so i get it. Its a midwest thing. I have bears neighbors, packers neighbors, they all adjust their life to football as i do. Im just glad to finally find a fan base that gets it. my life is consumed by football. All those dolts do is see alex smith as the failure that was the 49ers for so long. I just needed a reason to leave them behind. I now have it.

Oh, I hate Smith. Because this team is gonna be in ****ing shambles after he and Reid get booted out of here. This roster has talent, good talent, even at skilled positions, and when these two ****ers get done failing miserably, the cupboard is gonna be bare.

Thats the rub though. Im not a niners fan anymore. i could care less about them. Im a chiefs fan. I like the passion. I love alex smith, i am excited to see what he can do here. I know that who ever andy grooms is going to be that much better prepared because of alex smith, and andy. Thats exciting to me. **** the 49ers, seriously.

It's amazing after all these years that Herm Edwards showed more sense than Pioli/Reid/Dorsey and at least understood the importance of TRYING to develop a young QB.

Damn you Brody Croyle for having bones made of glass!!!

With Alex Smith as our QB we won't score 20 points a game. That's not enough unles you have the 85' Bears D. Looks like we better draft heavy on D.

case and point of where the problem i have with 49er fans in general. here is a post from one of their shit bag mods. his name is BrentJones84

Oh, Snoop. Still can't take responsibility for his actions.

He was never banned for his opinion, he was banned for name calling and swearing at people, after about numerous warnings. He was permanent-banned more than once, but sweet talked his way back on to here after promising to never break any more rules, and as soon as his ban was lifted, he went right back to name calling.

But rather than admit that, he blames Alex Smith. Ironic.

I never cursed at anyone, and the only name i ever called anyone, was i called someone simple because they tried to make it seem as the only reason the 49ers ever stopped winning super bowls was because of alex smith. And i got banned. I didnt sweet talk my way into anything. I just expressed my point of view, and because i didnt go with the sheep way of alex smith is the devil, I got villified. Even today, there are guys over there saying im a turd burglar, and those guys arent being banned. Personal attacks is what they call them, but that bitch does nothing about it. Alex smith to them is the cancer, bash him or be banned. hey brent jones, **** you, you hypocrite. **** ABT, **** joe58. Im not a sheep, i call it how i see it, and you are some of the worst ****ing turds ever. The only mod worth a damn over there is TahoeGirl, she just doesnt have enough time to see what kind of shit bag ****s you are.

thats why im not back even though i was told i could under an alias, i refuse, because you all still suck ass.

Pretty crazy we had to cough up two 2nds for him. I'm still in shock.

Of course, we know what that means: there was an intense competition for him. Probably the Cardinals, and another team.
