Now that we are in the playoffs, you unleash hell and let Mahomes go for more downfield throws. If he gets hurt, who cares? It is the playoffs and the season is over regardless. It wasn't worth risking his health in regular season games, but it definitely is worth it in the playoffs. The OL and Patrick are both far healthier now too, so that helps.

I care very much if Mahomes gets hurt, I would bet others do too.

Now we're worried about cold weather? It's going to be maybe 10 degrees colder than last sunday, sunny, maybe wind topping out at 10 mph.

This is what, our third sub freezing home game so far? How much impact has it had on the passing game before?

Jesus ****ing Christ, our own fanbase treats this ****ing team like it's Rodney Dangerfield. Oooh, Derrick Henry is going to run all over us! Oooh Ryan Tannehill is a scary qyarterback, ooga booga! The Chiefs have no chance!

We know Mahomes and the passing game works in the cold. How has "Miami's Own!" Ryan Tannehill done in inclement weather? How about the rest of that Tennessee squad? Are they suddenly the Packers now? Why does every ****ing thing have to somehow be their advantage? What a bunch of chickenshit.

I'm certainly rooting against that scenario.

But my point was simply that it's dumb to let him get beat up behind a shoddy OL in regular season games. The Alex Smith short passing game is good enough to qualify for the playoffs. Then all bets are off and you unleash Mahomes' talent with a championship on the line.

Vrabel made a point of complementing mahomes on his running. So the Titans are going to make every effort to smash mahomes if he scrambles and gets delusions of running grandeur. Mahomes should just stay in the pocket and perfect a QB slide. No more of this hero bullshit where he's diving head first for the goal line. Russell Wilson running > RGIII smash mouth running.

It's called Chiefs Playoffs Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPPTSD), and the only cure for it is for a AFC Championship win.

Once the Chiefs win a AFC Championship, the CPPTSD will just fade in the past.

He’s been running very smart this year. Most of the bad hits he takes are in the passing game.

I 100% agree with this...Chiefs toyed around with a traditional offense..because they could...either out of necessity or a long range strategy.

What we all saw, last Sunday, is the offense Reid has been squatting on.

Titans D-line doesn't produce much pressure...this will be a pass-first game plan from the first snap.

Exactly !

But I assure you Vrabel will have both sides of the trenches and DBs going full MMA on us and especially on Pat to attempt to physically and psychologically beat us down. So I suspect we will get some roughing the passer, PI and defensive holding calls for sure.

WTF are you talking about?

Do you have any proof at all that just because Vrabel complimented Mahomes on his running, how does that equate to "Vrabel is going to have his defense target Pat?"

And what the hell are you talking about "Mahomes should just stay in the pocket and perfect a QB slide." Have you watched Pat play a single game in the last two years? Do you know what a QB slide is?

Your and idiot.

I fully expect some cheap shots. Surprised the Texans didn't do it last week.
