*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

It's combined rush+receiving. But the bulk of it comes on the ground. Gurley needs 17 more TDs in 8 games, I doubt he even gets close tbh. And Gurley might not even get 8 games because there is a strong chance he sits week 17 when the Rams have nothing to play for.

So he is on pace for 30 total. LT's total was 31. He has a pretty decent shot at that record thanks to the Rams passing offense using Gurley as often as it does. |

Gurley has had an unsustainable TD rate so far and is still behind where he needs to be to break the record. |

What the hell does a RB do for a team? What? Take ball. Run ball. That's it.
The QB does 10 other things at the same time. That's why they always get the MVP vote. And our guy is the best. Shame he can't win Rookie of the Year too, which is what he basically is. |

Nah, he's not a rookie in any sense, he was on a NFL team for a full year prior to this one. Leave giving awards to fake rookies to the NBA.

I don't think Mahomes will break the record either. He probably has a better chance than Gurley though simply because passing TDs are easier to compile en mass and the passing records aren't as hard to break as Tomlinson's. Manning's TD record will be broken, it's just a matter of time as rule changes make passing easier and easier. 31 tds from scrimmage could stand for a while yet.
