****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Some of this on Reid\Nagy in that they need to get the ball to MVS. He had 2 targets tonight and he deserves more than that.

Toney at least has shown he can. He's the guy that came in in his first game and made a great leaping grab while adjusting his gloves mid air. And to be fair to him, he missed all of TC and preseason.

Moore otoh....no excuses.

I think it's more than drops. Some of them weren't drops in the stat sheet. I think a big problem is Skyy and Toney just run their route. They can't improvise. They don't see the big picture. They don't see a LB or safety is cutting their route off and slow down to give them space. They don't adjust to the football in the air. They don't adjust to when Mahomes moves the pocket. They just don't know how to play backyard football. Mahomes trusts instinctual players.

JuJu was at the least a competent vet which is exactly what the group is missing.

I'm looking at his stats and I've never seen a time ever he's shown he can. He's shown flashes. But any athletic guy can look the part. You need to actually do it.

What kind of rapport can Mahomes ever be expected to have with Sky Poor and Kadarius Phoney?

I don't get it.

Why puff out your chest when we lose a game by 1 point without Kelce? You think he's not worth that 1 point?
Same WR group?

Toney, Moore, MVS and a bunch of new guys.

And the new guys did all the damage outside of one MVS miracle.

The OL played amazing but 15 still ran for his life.
BecUse his WR couldn’t get open.

No. Bueno.

Of course but assuming that Kelce who will be 34 next month can maintain his production from last year is not realistic.

Not much when you're rotating 7 ****ing WR's because not one of them can take the job.

If you rewatch that game the amount of times Mahomes, hitches, pulls it down, moves from a pocket due to no one being open is astronomical..

The days of having a top flight receiving group is long behind us.

It is obvious that they are trying to do what they did with the DB group last year. There will be growing pains as we witnessed tonight.
