Want more salt in the wound. My Bears got their ass kicked in North Dakota tonight 34-0. Not the Bison either.

Also, I know his coaching hasnt done him any favors most likely, but Drew Lock = Blaine Gabbert lite. Although Gabbert accomplished way more. But they're kind of similar. They have NFL arms, but that's about it.
Lock continues to have the same issues he's always had. Poor decisions, bails on good pockets too often, doesn't go through his progressions, stares down his receivers, accuracy really suffers when he's on the run, accuracy suffers period in the intermediate range, etc...Doesn't look like we're getting that Junior year bump from him, which is really disappointing. Yet another disappointing performance vs an SEC defense. I remember when watching Chase Daniel back during the good ol days saying we'll probably never have a QB like Daniel again, or atleast for a long time. Man I miss him. |

Lock is a clear tier under Gabbert.
Gabbert showed he could make NFL throws and be a leader while Lock just slings it around erratically without a care in the world. Gabbert just left too early, got drafted to Syria and never worked on his flaws while the Jaguars trashed all his confidence. |

Gabbert is criminally underrated by Mizzou fans. As a junior, he won ten games with far worse players than Chase won eight with his senior year. He never reached the ceiling he should have, in part because Yost was a terrible QB and OC, and that interception against Iowa left a lot of people with a sour taste, but he's certainly a much better player than Lock has been at this point, or Franklin or Mauk ever were.
Cross should have been fired, but the fact that a HC needed to fire his DC 14 games into his tenure is a bad omen. Odom increasingly looks like a guy who isn't prepared to coach or recruit at this level. Of course, he was hired by Mack Rhoades, so that shouldn't be surprising. Everything he touches turns to shit. |

I think they'll beat Idaho, and that's about it.

I think if the Tigers regress, and they will, firing Odom isn't out of the question. Will come down to if Sterk can hustle boosters enough and he can guarantee them a good hire. The promise with BB buys him some clout. Turnover this quickly isn't ideal, but the previous guy had a long tenure and this guy is some other AD's coach. |
