I haven’t seen a LB play this bad for the Chiefs since…idk. Not even Anthony Hitches was this bad.

Slow, missing tackles, worthless in coverage.

Well.. I think he is earning a good contract.. His play has been excellent against the run in the last 3 weeks.. Just don’t depend on him in pass coverage.. He just average or below at that.. Not what he does..
Missing training camp practices and preseason due to injury made his season start slow..

overall, he was a good 2nd round pick for us and did some good things. But he's not the same player this year and is a liability in coverage. We don't need to pay him

Honestly I would bet money that Leo Chenal could play his role and do it better

injuries add up and he's had a number of them, don't hate the guy at all.

He was great in at least one game this season too but there's a fall off happening with him

Yeah. McDuffie wasn't looking so hot out there either. Defense kinda collapsed on that 2 minute drive at the end.

Bolton doesn’t possess great speed and therefore doesn’t cover well. He does his best work when the play is in front of him; filling gaps or scraping across the line. He reads screens well, but can’t change direction very quickly and sometimes finds himself out of position.

It does seem as though he’s a step slower this year and I also wonder if he’s suffering from a nagging injury.


ETA: I still love him, and don’t think he’s garbage, lol. He’s had dozens of big plays for us, and was one of our heroes in win over Philly in the SB.

that's EXACTLY what's going on here

dude is bloviating to "prove" he was right ...

this will not work out well.

Bolton is a great ILB. he's not meant to cover speedy WRs . He's a tackling machine & run stopper. Paired up with someone like Willie Gay , he achieves pro bowl stats
