Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

The Chiefs trading for a 49ers QB made me a fan, so I guess it's appropriate that the Chiefs trading for a 49ers QB would unmake so many others.

Me, I was lost long, long ago.

You're mad because I said the Jaguars will probably pick up Cassel? Were you a Cassel fan or something?

I'm done deferring to this organization. They don't get any extra breathing room from me. They have been an abject failure for decades.

Chiefs will trade second-round pick this year - the top pick in second round - as well as another conditional mid-round pick in 2014.

I may be taking a break from this franchise if there is not significant progress made with this season. Reid and John Pioli have one year, but if the same team building right 53 ****shite stands doomed to repeat itself, I will be done with any serious commitment to professional football. I simply can not handle the financial or emotional strain of this incompetence any longer.

Although he did take us to our LAST playoff win he was still 49er fodder for lack of a better term.
