Pizza usually is a no-go for me. But I made a couple pies tonight.
Red sauce, beef, mushroom 2 ways(sauteed and sliced fresh), marinated artichoke, caramelized onions with a garlic oil drizzle. And again I realized why pizza is a no-go for me as the intake vs. need is greatly unbalanced in intakes favor. |

That's the only way I ever had it growing up. Always hits the spot. Had some crescent rolls on the side and it's all good.

Awesome. My wife's family call it Depression soup. They owned a grocery store back in the 30's and that's one of the things they made at home with beef that had to be used up if it didn't sell. They ground it up at the store and did all kinds of things with it.

It's ingenious. I was going to make some patty melts this weekend. On my way home I went into the Walmart neighborhood market near my house. All they had was garlic breadsticks and a bunch of baren freezer shelves. I don't get it, do we import that also. So plan B buy the white bread texas style toast and make my own garlic toast. They didn't have that either. I went to the frozen fries looking for o rings none along with fries. They had a couple of stray Walmart Tater tot bags and hash browns. So I guess I will have to get out tomorrow and go on a search.

No rye bread either. Patty melts are good on a marble or pumpernickel rye. WTH
