49ers displeased with Super Bowl practice field, sources say

Field conditions for the San Francisco 49ers' practice facility at UNLV have been met with widespread disapproval from various members of their organization, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The NFL put in a sod field on top of field turf and started laying it just last week when the NFL ordinarily requires Super Bowl practice fields to meet certain standards in December, sources told Schefter.

The NFL hardness score for fields averages 78, with no field being less than 70. The 49ers field is considered in the 50s, sources told Schefter.

"We've had 23 experts out there. We had the union out there. All of them think it's a very playable surface," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at his Super Bowl news conference on Monday. "It's softer than what they practiced on, but that happens. It's well within all of our testing standards. It's something we think all of our experts, as well as neutral field inspectors, have all said unanimously that it's a playable field."
Probably cause they hired Sod God again. He got the Eagles for us last year

I don't know how it will effect him in the game but of course the guy is gonna be nervous on Sunday. Even Pat had a tough time in his first SB until he finally went into "God mode". But if things start rough for Brock things could get interesting because it happened to him against Cinci, the Browns and the Ravens and just spiraled downwards from there.

Sunday will be his first playoff game away from San Fran and the niners first road game in over six weeks come game day. So he hasn't played outside of his building in a long while.

Anyone got the Brock/Mahomes interview? I wanna see if Brock really looked nervous.

FINALLY some clips though. This is starting to make it more fun again.

Let's beat the brakes off these turds.

Much like playing the Ravens, control the running game and make the QB win with his arm.

Yeah we’re not getting in until Saturday. Probably the same for a bunch of other Chiefs fans.

He is nervous as F! Enormous moment for him. He is standing next to a living legend on stage in Mahomes who is just joking around and having fun. I dunno I personally think the the moment is going to be too much for Brock. Im a lifelong Iowa State fan and couldnt respect Brock more but just an enormous pressure on him I am sure.

Apparently Charvarious Ward decided to throw a pot shot instead of taking the high road.

"What's it like to be on the 49ers instead of the Chiefs?"

"It's better"

Raider fans can't afford to go to the game.

The SF Pelosi's were there in abundance. Advantage San Fran.
