It was easy peasy putting it in after taking the old one out. So simple. Pop off glossy part. Take out the PS4 screw. That should slide the case and HD out. Then take off 4 black screws. Slide HD out and new one in. Put screws back in after inserting new HD. Screw PS4 screw back in. Pop glossy part back on. Need a thumb drive for data transfer and update file

It sounds like there is a PS4k coming out in 2017:
Dubbed the 'PS4.5,' or the 'PS4K,' the alleged console was first reported last month. The reports suggested new hardware, including a more powerful GPU, a 4K Blu-ray player, as well as an incremental price hike to reflect the component upgrades. Now, additional rumors have shed more light on the recent speculations. The PS4K reportedly features both a CPU and GPU upgrade, the latter being twice as powerful and much faster than the one found in the current PS4. http://www.idigitaltimes.com/playsta...se-date-524024 |

From what has been rumored, the new PS4 has less to do with 4K and more to do with VR. The 4k aspect of it will be like how the PS3 was 1080p. Sure the menus were 1080p but most of the games were only 720p. It will be the same with the new version and 4K.
VR is incredibly taxing and with Sony's VR games cannot drop below 60fps stance, the current hardware makes it impossible to do that with out killing the fidelity. I am all for improved console releases as long as future software plays similarly on both versions. |

Yeah, I doubt there will be a graphics jump. They need a faster gpu/cpu to run 4K and handle vr. |

Remote play to OS X is really slick. Tried it both at the office and on my local network. There's a little bit of latency when connecting over the internet, but working over the local network is pretty great.
You'll need at least 12Mbps up (which isn't a problem for me) and also 12Mbps down wherever you are. I was only getting five off one of my computers at the office, but another was getting 13 and it looked pretty darn acceptable. Now I can play Destiny anywhere. |

The Battleborn Open Beta starts today at 10:00 AM PST and it can be preloaded now. The beta will have 2 campaign levels and 2 multiplayer modes. I'd kind of written this game off but Total Biscuit had some good things to say about it, The beta will run until the 18th...
