Pearson has always been a giant idiot. I believe he's one of the people who said it was impossible for Vermeil's Greatest Show On Earth offense to be installed and run properly. He also called Holmes overrated all the time. |

Who knows what the **** some of these media people are thinking.... It's so frustrating trying to sift through the politics and biases. Cordell made an interesting tweet a while ago:
Cordell @TheFilmRoom Interesting what people tell you in a private forum and what they say in a public one. I get it, politics. |

Cassel is also at best a career backup. He is also 7 years in the league and won't change that. He is proven fail. Stanzi is certainly unproven, but with a shot he my just click. He is only in his 2nd year. Cassel has no upside. If he doesn't win this year, he should be gone. IMO he should have been gone already.

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=259064 (Post #198 starts the preseason videos) http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=259406 (Contains more in depth discussion on the videos that Rico posted in the previous thread) I wrote my own treatise on Stanzi. It's not that good, but here it is anyway. http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=257176 That's plenty of reason and material. |

No one really wants to live up to the reality that not every team is going to have a hall of famer as their QB.....and that MC is the best QB on our roster, andthat we have had a chance to acquire realistically... Much like the scared virgin gamer basement dwelling nerds these guys are in real life.....they would rather focus on being able to have sex with some fantasy woman they will NEVER get...rather than bone the slightly ugly and willing neighbor who is also into gaming. |

I think it's pretty simple. Cassel = at best, average, and at worst, teh suck. Stanzi = no idea. He could suck, he could be Johnny Unitas reincarnated. But the Chiefs will never know if they don't try him. What's the worst that could happen? He sucks? Like the guy they've handed the job to already? Besides, how a guy looks in training camp, with no enemy rushers trying to pound him into the turf, is far different. A guy can practice like Tarzan and play like Jane, or vice versa. The Chiefs have a fairly difficult schedule, and an uphill road in the division between the always-pesky Chargers and the Denver Peytons. They don't have a lot of time or the leeway to give Cassell a lot of rope to hang himself. IMO, if he comes out of the gate with a kick-to-the-balls performance of 12-for-32 for 167 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INTs, I think the Chiefs shitcan him immediately (if they have any brains whatsoever). They know what they have in Quinn, so if I were them I'd jump right to Stanzi and see what he can do; they can always fall back to Quinn as a last result. The Chiefs have just enough talent that they don't necessarily need a great QB to lead them singlehandedly to victory; they just need a half-decent one who won't cost them games. |
