Anyone want free* Platinum parking for Monday?

Just surfacing this from another thread in case anyone's interested. You'd be providing a ride in exchange for free parking.

Random question- I have platinum parking pass for lot E. The problem is I wasn't planning on driving to game as I am flying up from Montana(was going to uber) Does anyone know if Uber would drop you off in a lot? Or do they have to use the designated drop off? Is that lot good enough lot to where a fellow chiefs fan would want to pick us up from hotel to use the pass? Thanks

Would totally take a ride to/from the game and we could use my pass if anyone would be interested in that. Staying at Hotel Phillips if their are any takers!
Caveat that I don't know any of you guys, so it's up to you to make sure you're not getting in a car with a serial killer.

Does this bug anyone else, or is it just me?

Umm, Montana is well above KC, so at the very least you would be flying down or at least over, not up.

I get in trouble over this with my wife all the time. She will say lets go up to Texas or down to Indiana and I have to correct her.

You guys are going to assume I am not flying up over Canada/Asia etc HAHA jk. Good catch and you are correct- I will be flying "down"

Will shoot a few DM's for the people that responded and see if we can work something out.

Thanks

Technically, and scientifically, he's flying 'over' from Montana. Up is the sky.

Speaking as an actual navigator, there is no up/down when it comes to navigating one place or another. We just think of it that way because of the maps we see, and all maps distort size, shape, area, direction etc.

Yeah, any time someone mentions going anywhere, I immediately have a visual of a map in my head. It's instantaneous.

North, South, East and West, probably a farmer/Kansas thing.

A couple weeks ago, my retired professional truck driving neighbor mentioned going "up to Kimberling City" which is well south and east of here. He did not appreciate being corrected and I told him he should confide in my wife about it. She would appreciate it.

I define "up" as outward from the galactic center. Watching a helium balloon is a mindbending experience.

I mentioned over, but it is still gradually down.

The latitude of Montana 46.8797° N, the latitude of KC 39.0997° N.

Umm, we could do this all day. The altitude of Missoula/Billings is over 3000 feet and KC is just over 900.

This actually reminds me of one of my favorite courses in college. It was a specialized physics-type course to examine moving objects. The professor started the course by saying, "We're going to examine six different ways to measure a ball rolling down an incline", and that's what we did. We used different perspectives. It's traditional to do physics with a basis of a static x-y-z coordinate system, but we also did it with things like a coordinate system that moved with the ball, or a radial coordinate system, or a radial coordinate system that moved and rotated with the ball, and so on. It was really interesting.

Flying anywhere denotes going up and then down.
