Of course I do! 1GB fiber optic actually ran straight to the house. I like to watch movies when I want to and not "IF" they are streaming or not. Makes for a nice day off. Yes, we have Netflix, Paramount +, Disney, Amazon Prime, Max, ESPN +,etc. You sound like my wife. I do NOT pay for 4K and it is just a little thing I wanted to dabble into to see what it is all about - nothing more, nothing less.

Streaming 4K is heavily compressed. The end product is pretty decent given how much information is lost, but uncompressed 4K discs are better.
Edit: to stream uncompressed 4K@60, you’d need 12Gbps of bandwidth. Most people don’t even have 1 Gbps. Last edited by Third Eye; 10-20-2024 at 09:16 AM.. |

https://www.blu-ray.com/ is a great resource for 4K reviews. I have the same model Panasonic 4K player...it's great! You've picked some excellent movies to start with. The Godfather, Top Gun: Maverick, 1917, The Martian, Interstellar, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Lord of the Rings, The Shawshank Redemption are some 4K movies that I've really enjoyed. Some older movies like Vertigo, Citizen Kane, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, etc. also look amazing on 4K. Enjoy!
