Nervous and excited at the at the same time. Lake Eufaula, AL. Not waterfront cause I am cheap but 1/4 mile from the dock and ramp.

Smart move. You buy 1/4 mile away, and then every time you walk to the lake, you surreptitiously move a couple of shovels of dirt until you eventually expand the lake to your property.

There was a comedian that had a joke about Eufaula, AL. He drove through there a few times and never knew how to pronounce it.

He walked into a convenience store and asked, "How do you pronounce the name of this place?" Lady at the counter... "Ummm... Circle K."

While you're at it, start building a floating dock about 30 feet from your back door. It'll look more natural that way when the lake ends up under it.
