The funny part is, it was supposed to be Gannon. People staffers screwed up.

Was '97 the year Chiefs fans always talk about if Gannon was the QB, you would have beat the Broncos in the playoffs?

I think KC's offense, without Mahomes, is significantly over rated.

Yes, Rice before IR was playing well. A lot was Rice getting yards after catch. But Mahomes could also get him the ball in tight windows where and/or position him to get those yards after catch. Anyway, that's gone now.

I think the LT play has been worse than most people realize. And now without Rice... Yes, there is Hunt and Kelce, but...

Put some good but over rated QB like Dak on this offense. See if he can actually avoid the pass rush long enough to take advantage of Worthy deep...

Joey is probably Top 8 right now , but imagine if he wasn't so soft, the injuries weren't piling up, the mistakes in key situations, making his O line look worse than they are for years. Imagine that Bengals fans he could be what Pat is. The potential was there, but unfortunately for you he'll never get there. He had defense, weapons, no excuses not to get it done already. Now the defense is awful, the weapons want out, and the hits have taken a toll.

The result? 1-4

95 in my opinion. I'm not sure it would have mattered in 97. Gannon had won several games while Grbac was out, but he was basically a game manager in that 97 offense. It was controversial because it was Grbac's first game back. It could obviously gone differently in that game, but who knows, it was always going to be a close one and penalties killed them a crucial times.

West coast Bono had know chance in that 96 ice bowl game. He was worse than Tua last year.
