Cooper had his best season yardage wise in 2023. And is younger and cheaper than adams.

I’d be ok sending our original 3rd for Cooper and a 5th.
That would be best case scenario, imo. He had 1250 receiving yards last year and is a crisp route runner. Get it done and let’s go |

2024-2025 is the only important season. Trade away future draft picks for Adams, Cooper, or Hopkins.

They won't have to give up that much. I'd guess a 4th max. Probably a 5th gets it done.

That will never happen because Cooper is 30 and a rental. Not worth that level of compensation.

The Browns pretty much have to get rid of Cooper. There’s no way in hell that franchise can afford to pay him $22.58 million in 2025 with the DeShaun Watson disaster, so paying only $7.5 million in dead money will help.
I’d be more than happy throwing them our 4th or even our original 3rd if that gets the job done bc lord knows that the Browns are gonna need draft picks due to all of their money going towards a historic dead money price tag for Watson. I’m not sure if this would be a 1 year rental here for Cooper. |

He’d be a one year rental but if he has a good year he could recoup a pick in FA through a comp pick, even if that’s a 5th or 6th in 2026.

Veach doesn't trade good picks for rentals. If he trades it will be for someone on a cheap contract with multiple years or rookie deal imo.

Veach doesn't draft Corners high... until he does. The nfl is an ever changing landscape with ever changing rules. Never say never. He may re evaluate and say shit man trading for DK Metcalf sounds better than swinging on another FAU.

That may be true but the Smith, Mcduffie, George and Bolton deals are hanging over the club. Taking on an expensive WR is highly unlikely imo.

If they don't do something this week, I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense to do anything.
Use the bye week to your advantage in getting someone up to speed. Maybe you start getting a small return on your investment by Week 8-9 and full speed by the playoffs. Otherwise, unless you're dealing for someone that already knows the system, there's a chance you're just throwing away a pick. |
