This seems to explain Mahomes happy feet

OL got absolutely wrecked the first 3 drives. Patrick probably felt like he had to get rid for he ball quickly or scramble the rest of the game bc of the early OL play.

Ok and we had a top 4 offense. The next year without Tyreek but with Kelce we had the best offense #1 in points and yards. And then for some reason, the next year still with Kelce and Rice, we had the 15th ranked offense. And as now we have the 14th ranked offense.

Man, Toney was a dumpster fire last year. Moore did less than nothing. MVS couldn't catch a cold for most of the season. Kelce played hurt for a chunk of the year.

But mostly, shoveling pick 6's to defenders really puts a dent in your scoring stats.

It was historically bad. It was freaky.

We're 14th right now, but it's 4 games in and it doesn't look nearly as ****ed up as last year did. Mostly it looks like a team getting used to new pieces. And Mahomes isn't playing up to his normal level.

I thought that’s what it was… glad to see that I wasn’t just being irrationally optimistic, considering Schwartz sees it.

So what can we do? Are there any helpful fatty FA’s? When is the trade deadline? I wanna get this show going!

I don't think any of that is necessary. I just think our OL needs to pull their heads out of their asses.

They looked like they were getting physically out-manned the other day. It didn’t appear to be a tactical thing as much as a physical thing with them. How do you fix that quickly? Get them on higher doses of HGH?

You are probably right, btw.

It was the only significant change unless you think going from Juju to Rice was a significant downgrade. They upgraded at RT and stayed the same/slight downgrade at LT.

The biggest and most consequential change was Nagy.

The most significant change was that Mahomes went from being an MVP to looking like a mere mortal.

These clips of what Mahomes is facing in the pocket are really great. But I don’t think they’re a good explanation of why he’s getting happy feet. I think in all of them except maybe number 11 he’s got three seconds at least to get rid of the ball and normally more than that. Yes he sometimes or even usually has to dance around in the pocket but that’s what pocket presence is all about. Remember what Brady used to do.

Yes there’s been some inconsistency in the LT position. Most QBs have to face much more inconsistency in the OL than that.

We all agree Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks ever. These are issues he should be able to deal with.

By all means we should do what we can to help make it easier. We did that with our plans for the WR room this year. And it would’ve been great barring injuries. But we’ve had two very significant injuries and we do have to get another WR.
