Lol keep thinking that, dude.

Daniels had a few actually impressive plays. That's what you hope for out of a rookie QB on a limited roster. Flashes of greatness. He definitely had that.

Nix's only flashes of greatness were garbage time throws and "Oh, hey, nice job on that 5 yard slant."

I've seen "garbage time" mentioned a couple of times. That's absolutely false. Nix led a drive to bring the score to 20-26 and they gave the ball back with more than two minutes left. If the defense got a stop, they would have had the ball with time to win the game.

Garbage time is any time the defense changes and allows the offense to move the ball with the hope that all that time spent on taking the underneath stuff burns clock. And ideally, they keep that team out of the end zone.

Was that not Seattle's defensive strategy?

And I have also noted repeatedly the context that no one knew how good he was--not any other team. It's kind of hard to believe that no team in the NFL had a scout capable of recognizing how good he would be, except the Chiefs.

Especially in the broader context of scouts routinely having consensus views on number one or number two pick QBs who turn out to be dogshit.
Actually, it's been documented that multiple teams had interest in Mahomes, but since he was expected to fall to later in the round, those teams were dumb and decided to let him fall to them Sean Payton, for one, was ready to take Mahomes at 11 until the Chiefs jumped ahead of him. The Texans wanted him as well, but settled for Watson after the Chiefs got Mahomes.

It was absolutely true, up two scores five minutes to go. Garbage time. Seattle played like it too on defense that last Denver drive. Kept everything in front of them, forced Denver to use the clock. Denver ended ip scoring. Seattle got the ball back and ran the clock out. Game over.

Is this guy for real? No credit for Mahomes because they passed on...Dak? You realize I don't think much of Dak right. Regardless of his "stats". Terrible in clutch situations.

Don't forget the only reason they scored was because of an absolute bullshit fake slide

Of course not. They cut it to a one score game with time to score again I have never heard someone refer to that as garbage time.

I never said no credit for Mahomes. I said there’s way more luck involved than anyone ever acknowledges. And I pointed out that, if Veach really was a prodigy in spotting QB talent, he would have identified Dak.

And they didn’t really pass on him. Like everyone else, they had no idea how good he’d be.

Dak will never win a title, so passing on him is understandable

Seattle didn't alter their defensive philosophy to keep everything in front of them?

They told Nix to throw all the underneath stuff he wanted. My God, that's like inviting an alcoholic to a brewery and saying, "Help yourself"

You're going to look great as a QB against prevent. And if you had rough stats prior to that coverage look, your stats on the day will improve.

That's exactly what happened, man.
