TH was a dismissive jerk at the outset. That typically never helps a situation. Who among us likes to be treated like that. Being nice to strangers is free and lubricates many interactions to your benefit including those with law enforcement.
The second officer absolutely appeared to unnecessarily escalate things. It is hard to do many times but cops have to deescalate situations not pour gasoline on them. They said TH was driving recklessly perhaps that had him worked up? Regardless of what it was the job is so hard but you have to remain in control of your emotions. I’m long since tired of every situation like this needing to lead to a termination but 2024 is 2024. |

Voice of reason Tyreek Hill?!
Of all the public responses, Tyreek deserves credit for being the most reasonable.

Any time anything even remotely negative happens to a black person it's 100% proof of RACISM!
It's ****ing tiresome. |

Tyreek deserves some credit also for not really going there. His own head coach did in an apparent audition for an acting role, or something. But Hill has clearly chosen not to go that route (at least from what I've seen). Which is refreshing.

I don't think they beat the dog shit out of Tyreek. They weren't gentle with him, but he probably got hit harder on the field than what those dumb ass cops did to him.

Or maybe a better analogy would be a woman repeatedly slapping some guy. You know the lady isn't going to do much to the guy but eventually I can't really fault the guy for popping her in the mouth once. |

I think everybody could agree that Hill was an asshole and could of handle the situation better. But Hill doesn't have the authority and power the police officers do. We should expect more from them than the citizen as it is literally their job. The way the police officers handled the situation was dangerous and unprofessional. The fact that people make excuses for them is why there is so much distrust of the police no matter your race. |
