I don't understand what you're saying here. All I'm saying is that doctors shouldn't be providing patients with large amounts of drugs just because the patient asks for them. They're supposed to be the experts and they're supposed to be looking out for their patients' best interests.

That works great for straightforward stuff, but I can also see how it could go off the rails if it's not straightforward. I think having large organizations leading research is great. Having large organizations providing on-the-ground health care is more risky. They have more information and resources, but also more strict policies about "if this, then that." |
