Eh. I haven't seen anything that suggest that Daniel Jones is that much smarter in game situations. I'd guess Lamar's football IQ is maybe average at best. He's never going to take that next step and become top-10 in that regard, and his lack of arm strength just exaggerates the problem. So he's automatically limited to a pretty elementary passing game, that by necessity requires a strong running game to pull the safeties down and puts CBs on islands. In the NFL, that's not terribly difficult to scheme against if the QB in question can't throw to the boundaries.

What was Vince's offense like in college?

"Shotgun snap throw right"

"Shotgun snap run left"

I looked at a sample Wonderlic once... and I don't understand why it is given to athletes or why it should matter.

13, 15, who cares? The point is that on the field, Dan was smarter than most QBs.

You're right, I'm definitely overstating Brissett but they are extremely even. If I can get Brissett for 7-8 million or Jones for 40, I'm taking Brissett.

Not its not a bad barometer, there are exceptions to the rule sure but intelligence and speaking intelligently go hand in hand for the most part. Typically if you sound stupid, you are stupid.

If Jacoby Brissett put up the exact same stats and won the same games, and lost the same games, for the Giants, they would offer him $20 million a year. But, Daniel Jones is white, and is getting $40 million a year.

If any black QB not named Mahomes or Hurts had those same stats, they would not even come close to that contract.

Just like people like Gase getting hired twice, and fired twice, or white college coaches with no NFL experience getting hired before Eric Bienemy gets hired once, sometimes it really is just about race.

He's shitty.

No ****in' way I'm paying him shit. You can get middling QB play for pennies on the dollar. There's no need to pay a lousy QB. These teams just keep doubling down on stupid.
