Aiyuk to the Steelers?
Seems to be a lot of buzz around the Steelers finalizing a trade for Aiyuk.

Don't blame him, really. Deshaun has proven to be fool's gold, at best, and they're stuck with him at least until 2027, according to Spotrac?

Plus, Stefanski's offense is basically a mirror of Shanahan's; run-centric and mostly short-range passing attack, but with a much inferior QB situation for the next few years. Aiyuk could easily become nothing more than a deep decoy in CLE.

Probably the best thing for Aiyuk. Maybe he doesn't get the same $$$, but he'll be happier he stayed in SF 3+ years from now. And $26M/yr is more than enough $$$ to set him up for life many times over.

The first thing I think of when I see a story like this is that both parties are trying to get more from the Stoolers. My mind goes straight to 'they're bluffing, all part of the negotiation process'.

I think either is good for the Chiefs.

49ers getting worse this year is good.

49ers not getting a bunch of extra draft picks and taking on another big contract is also good.
